I’m Kushal.

A copywriter with over nine years of experience across two major continents and multiple markets. KFC, Google, Kit Kat, Vice and YouTube are brands that the young trainee in me would’ve killed to work on.

I’ve always been fascinated by non-traditional advertising that goes beyond a well-crafted TV spot. Creating unconventional work that gets talked about on the internet is what truly delights me as a copywriter. I’ve been fortunate to have achieved some of advertising’s top honours for my work. The next couple of paragraphs are about me (not-so) humble-bragging about them, feel free to scroll to the end.

I was ranked the #1 Creative Director on the Cannes Creativity Report in 2022, and was part of the team that helped lead Dentsu to become the #1 agency in Asia at Cannes (Top 3 in the world) that same year. My work also helped Vice News become one of the top 3 brands at Cannes, beating the likes of Apple and Burger King.

A Titanium, multiple Grand Prix, a Yellow Pencil and many awards later, I was poached by Courage in Canada.

Over the last two years in Canada, my work has been awarded at Cannes, the One Show, the Andys, the Clios (that was new), the Marketing Awards, the ADCCs and more.

More importantly, it gave me the belief that I would be able to flourish in a new country, a new market and a new culture.
